Advice - What is a mapple ?
The maple is a Acer, family of Aceraceae.
The Acer genus includes a large number of species, more than 1000
varieties and cultivars just among the palmatums. As a result, here we
will look at the Japanese Acers that can be used for bonsais, and are
interesting for their shapes, colours of their foliage, and how easy
they are to grow.
In Japanese the Acer palmatum is called: YAMA MOMIJI.
The most widely used species in Japan are the Japanese maples (acer palmatum) and of course the trident maple. (acer buergerianum).
Japanese
maples lend themselves to any style: singles trees or clumps, shaped as
clouds, or decorative hedges. They grow rapidly and take on splendid
colours in autumn.
