juniperus chinensis itoigawa ref : 05110241 juniperus chinensis itoigawa ref : 05110241 R ref : 12141 Bonsai Juniperus Itoigawa (Juniper) Style: Moyogi Origin: Maître Fujita Nurseries Age: Over 20 years Repotting: September 2024 Specifications: Total Height: 390 mm Branch Spread: 330 mm Trunk Diameter: Approximately 40 mm Pottery: Handmade, unglazed, high quality, brick color, signed, dimensions: 245 mm x 190 mm x 60 mm Plant Description: This Juniperus Itoigawa stands out for its graceful form and robust nature. The Itoigawa variety is particularly appreciated for its vigorous growth and fine green foliage, making it an excellent choice for bonsai cultivation. Unlike Juniperus chinensis, this variety sheds very little foliage in early summer, making it easier to maintain and especially aesthetic. The trunk, already over 20 years old, features shari (bare section of bark) and jin (deadwood branches), indicative of meticulous craftsmanship and a tree in full maturity. The bark has naturally aged and formed, providing an authentic and natural appearance, while the twisted trunk adds a gnarled character, enhancing the impression of depth and antiquity. This bonsai is a true specimen, with original jin and shari, and should not be confused with tanuki (the technique of grafting a young plant onto a dead stump). The front view was slightly modified during the September 2024 repotting, to better showcase the gnarled trunk, a distinctive feature of this bonsai, while also enhancing its overall visual harmony. Care and Maintenance: This bonsai is ideal for collectors seeking a mature, well-balanced specimen. It will require light pruning to maintain its shape and encourage further ramification. It is recommended to cultivate it in a bright environment with moderate watering and well-drained soil. Do you Already have this complete book on juniperus ? Shelf non-included. pinus pentaphylla 030120251 pinus pentaphylla 030120251 ref : 12170 Pine Bonsai ? Sokan Style (Two Trunks) Total height of the tree: 1100 mm Width: 1080 mm Trunk diameter: 60 mm and 70 mm Nebari (visible roots): 300 mm x 180 mm Pottery: Unglazed, signed, high-quality ceramic, dimensions: 550 mm x 450 mm x 130 mm Description and Features: This remarkable pine, grown from seed over 60 to 80 years ago, displays trunks with perfect conicity and mature bark, creating an exceptional natural appearance. The tree is a yamadori (collected from the wild), with well-developed plateaus and a structure in perfect harmony with its environment. The character of the tree is profound, marked by obvious signs of aging and an authentic look that will appeal to even the most discerning collectors. The two trunks, perfectly fused at their base in an oblique angle, give this bonsai a unique and expressive appearance. This Sokan style (two trunks) is relatively rare in collections, and this particular tree will surely delight any bonsai enthusiast. Its beauty is enhanced by its slightly bluish needles, a rare feature among seed-grown pines. This particular trait emphasizes the tree's originality, distinguished by the softness of its needles and the elegance of its silhouette. Jins and Deadwood: There are jins (dead branches) at various places on the tree, adding extra character. Depending on your preference, these jins can be peeled and bleached to accentuate their dramatic appearance, or left in their natural state, offering authentic deadwood that highlights the tree's natural look. Condition and Care: This bonsai shows no significant injury from pruning or signs of wiring. It has been carefully reformed, pruned, and wired by Master Katoh in Japan in September 2020, ensuring a perfect shape and healthy structure. This meticulous care reflects both aesthetic and technical attention, worthy of the finest masters. Photograph: The tree was photographed in January 2025, showcasing its current growth and form. 2.880,00 order
pinus pentaphylla ref: 16080232 pinus pentaphylla ref: 16080232 ref : 12011 Featuring a twin-trunk shakan style, this tree embodies a unique elegance. It reaches a height of 380 mm and spans an impressive branch width of 650 mm. The trunk diameters, measuring between 40 and 50 mm, lend a substantial presence to the subject. The nebari, with a span of 140/150 mm, anchors this tree in a quality handcrafted Yixing Chinese pottery, with dimensions of 260*260*150 mm, displaying an unglazed finish. Originating from a yamadori of over 60/80 years old, this pine boasts admirable trunk conicity and carefully developed bark. On the backside, a discreet and natural shari adorns the trunk, featuring an aged appearance with cracks that add a natural and authentic effect. The diagonally reclined base of the trunks imparts a distinctive character to this bonsai. This style of pine, relatively rare in collections, will captivate the passionate soul of an enlightened enthusiast. An authentic bonsai adorned with original jin and shari, it clearly distinguishes itself from tanuki counterfeits. Currently ligatured with copper wire, requiring special attention by March 2024, this tree presents no major injuries from wires or cutting. The selection of this bonsai is based on its undeniable beauty and the moderately long needles, slightly tinted blue, a rare trait among seedlings. It has won the heart of Guy Maillot, a passionate bonsaï lover. Please note that the stand is not included. Photographs dated August 2023 offer a comprehensive view of this specimen from every angle. 2.430,00 order
